Ground-water Management Model for the Washita River Alluvial Aquifer in Roger Mills and Custer Counties, Oklahoma

Schipper, Mark Raymond
Abstract
This study concerns the hydrologic properties of the alluvial acquifer associated with the Washita River in Roger Mills and Custer Counties, Oklahoma. The primary objective of this study was to determine the maximum annual yield and corresponding annual pumping allocation for the Washita River alluvial aquifer in accordance with Oklahoma ground-water law. The computer model was used to determine the maximum annual yield based on predicted changes in the potentiometric surface (water table) caused by p~mpage prior to July 1, 1973, and subsequent allocated pumpage until July 1, 1993.
