Although lesson plan repositories for instruction librarians exist, they cover librarianship as a whole. It can be frustrating and time-consuming for architecture librarians to modify these generic information literacy lesson plans to fit their needs. But what if this wasn’t the case? What if architecture librarians could save time and effort by finding ready-made, adaptable lesson plans without wading through irrelevant materials, improve and diversify their teaching by discovering new strategies to inspire creativity in their instruction, and empower their colleagues by sharing their expertise and contributing to a valuable resource for the entire field? This 15-minute session unveils a solution: a peer-to-peer, free open-access lesson plan repository specifically for art, architecture, and design librarians in the Humanities Commons CORE Repository. Attendees will learn the rationale for the repository and why we chose the Humanities Commons. They will also receive instructions for creating a Humanities Commons account, searching for lesson plans within the repository, and uploading lesson plans so they can contribute to and use the resource.application/pdfThis material has been previously published.
