The underlying goal is to develop a program and provide conceptual design alternatives for a test facility which well provide the necessary data to determine the energy-saving potential of earth sheltering as a design alternative. A questionnaire, sent to selected professionals in the field of earth sheltering, aided in the identification of useful investigations and testing procedures.
