The Northern Oklahoma College Enid campus previously had a 3-acre pond fed by a 185-acre drainage basin, but the infrastructure for recreational activities like swimming has deteriorated, resulting in erosion, sedimentation, and water quality issues. The project's goal is to revive the region by encouraging student and public engagement in a green space built for outdoor recreation while also improving stormwater management, sustainability, and environmental resilience.
