Scope of Study: High school laboratory manuals of chemistry were examined for biochemistry content. High school chemistry teachers were also consulted about the biochemistry phase of secondary school laboratory work. The major portion of the report is the collection and presentation of the experimental projects in biochemistry. The larger part of the information used in devising and adapting these projects is common to most biochemistry or chemistry textbooks. Some materials were obtained from other sources as noted.

Findings and Conclusions: Very few laboratory manuals for high school chemistry contained biochemistry experiments. Many high school teachers expressed a desire for more work of this nature but lacked a source from which to obtain it. This report provides a number of experiment al projects in biochemistry which can be performed in most high school laboratories.
