This paper was intended to extend an earlier study by Edwin J. Elton and Martin J. Gruber by redefining their test statistic in accordance with modern capital market theory. By observing the ex-dividend behavior of common stocks, it is theoretically possible to infer marginal stockholder tax rates. Identification of such rates would allow an examination of the relationships between those rates and a firm's dividend policy as measured by its dividend yield and payout ratio. A significant relationship-between these variables would lend support to Miller and Modigliani's Clientele Effect (each firm is assumed to have a body of stockholders who find its dividend policy optimum).Publication Design of a computerized procedure for commercial loan analysis(1975-12) Lamb, David L.Purpose of Study: The purpose of this study is a discussion of existing techniques of commercial loan analysis and to develop a computer model to assist loan officers in the evaluation of credit decisions. The intent of the model is to present an orderly and compact arrangement of the financial data used to analyze loan requests. The model uses a IBM/CPS system. This system provides the model with real time conversational inputs and outputs, combined with the speed and power of computers.Publication Analysis of the efficiency of the electric utility industry during the period of 1954-1973(1975-12) Kositwongsakul, NgampisScope and Method of Study: This report consists of an analysis of the efficiency of the electric utility industry during 1954-1973 in the area related to energy, plant and equipment, profitability performance and solvency. Several models of ratio analysis are developed to measure the efficiency of all investor-owned electric utilities which are available in The Utility Compustat Tape. The results obtained are applied to the industry as a whole.Publication Program for a Bartlesville CBD stabilization study(1975) Hart, BradfordPublication Study of the utilization of trade magazines by machine designers in the technology transfer process: Implications for management(1975-07) Hoyt, Danny OttoPurpose of Study: The general purpose of this study was to determine the utilization of trade magazines by machine designers. The sample was composed of 660 machine designers, all members of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, representing 60 major organizations. A percentage was used to determine which magazines were most accessible to the designers and which magazines were most often read by the designers. A chi square test was used to determine if there were significant differences in the contents of the four most accessible magazines. A chi square test was also used to determine if various "working" conditions affect which magazines the designers read and which magazines the designers have access to.Publication Planning for program advancement: A comprehensive development program for the Oklahoma State University College of Business Administration(1975-05) Cagle, Roger D.Scope and Method of Study: This study was designed to develop a comprehensive plan for a College of Business Administration Development Program. The plan is developed using, where possible, existing programs and resources of the CBA. These are integrated into ideas and methods developed in similar designs. The organization and implementation of the plan is outlined with enough detail to facilitate application but with enough generalization to encourage imagination and allow flexibility.Publication Evaluation of selected firm-level planning models, their goal orientation, and the nature of their operation and output(1975-12) DeClue, James S.Purpose of Report: The primary objective of this report is to exemplify how operations research techniques are applied in the design of selected firm computer-based planning models. Attention is focussed on how both simulation and optimization techniques are utilized in the firms planning process and how these techniques have been incorporated into the design of selected firm computer-based planning models. In addition to the primary objective, this report proposes to show why the application and utilization of simulation and optimization techniques when combined to form an integrated planning system, offer the planner advantages not possible otherwise. The selected models presented in this report include the Hamilton-Moses (H-M) model, Warren and Shelton (W-S) model, Sun Oil model, and the Krouse model. The selected models are all computer based corporate planning models. In addition, these models represent several classes of models developed over the years and are representative of three different operations research modeling techniques.Publication Framework and analysis of decision variables for intermarket patronage(1975-12) Duesler, Floyd W.Publication Development of a risk identification framework for merging technology assessment and environmental assessment into a systems approach(1975-04) Watson, Gary W.Purpose of Study: The awareness of advancing technologies and their impacts on quality of life has resulted in two separate activities, namely technology assessment and environmental assessment. Technology assessment has assumed a role of evaluating the multi impacts of new technologies while environmental assessment has assumed a role of evaluating the environmental impacts of existing technologies, This study was intended to provide a framework for merging these two activities into a broad systems approach, The suggested framework utilizes risk as the common denominator for assessing the impacts on the quality of life of new and/or existing technologies, To accomplish this objective it was necessary to present and comparatively analyze representative technology assessment and environmental assessment methodologies.Publication Relationship of reward and other equity factors to employee effort and satisfaction(1975-12) Palovik, John LeePublication Study on the operations of apartment complexes in Oklahoma City(1975-07) Adams, Gene A.Purpose of Study:Publication Junior college for Tulsa, Oklahoma(1971-12) Carne, Daniel Drake
